Principal Viola | Personnel Manager

A violist and teacher in the greater Baltimore-DC area, Emily performs with Symphony Number One and is frequently invited as a sub to play with orchestras such as the Annapolis and Richmond Symphonies. Emily completed her Master of Music degree in performance and literature (viola) at the Eastman School of Music. During her time in Rochester, she performed as a member of the viola section in the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and premiered new compositions in student initiatives such as Ossia New Music Ensemble and the Graduate Composers Sinfonietta.

Emily has spent her summers at the Castleton Festival (VA), Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival (VT), Brevard Music Center (NC), as a fellow at the Atlantic Music Festival (ME), as a member of the orchestra at the Franco-American Vocal Academy Salzburg, and as Chamber Music and Library staff for the National Orchestral Institute + Festival (MD). 
 

Symphony Number One is Baltimore's Newes Chamber Orchestra, devoted to substantial works by emerging composers.
