Saxophonist Sean Meyers is committed to exploring and expanding the repertoire of his instrument through virtuosic performance of its traditional literature and by commissioning new works for saxophone. Praised for the “eagerness, kindness, and pure excellence with which [he] gobble[s] up new works,” Sean has given world premieres of nearly a dozen works for saxophone.
Sean is pursuing degrees in Saxophone Performance and Music Education at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. He studies saxophone with Gary Louie and conducting with Dr. Harlan Parker.
