Our second Call for Scores is complete: congratulations to Martha Callison Horst and Nick Omiccioli for winning our top prize: commissions for our 2016-17 season. We evaluated a rich and satisfying array of unique voices, and these two stood out among the 120 entries. We also look forward to many exciting projects ahead for some of our finalists, so like us on Facebook for the latest announcements!
Not mentioned in the original announcements: we look forward to welcoming guest artist Brian Zator to Baltimore next spring to premiere Nick Omiccioli’s composition for marimba and chamber orchestra. This extended work for marimba and chamber orchestra will accompany Steve Reich's Double Sextet.
Lastly, did you know that we were featured in this month's issue of Baltimore Magazine? Check it out!
Our feature in Baltimore Magazine has landed on newsstands! Take a look!
