This concert will feature Stravinsky's Soldier's Tale, Dan Deacon's "When I Was Done Dying," and the music of 13 other composers from across Baltimore and across the globe!

From the creators of Symphony Number One come SNO Laboratories, SNO's space for partnering with composers, artists, and creatives to co-create unique community projects across the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Reality, Race, and Religion is a concert debuting a variety of works written by composer Jasmine Barnes. This concert is aimed to take the listener on a musical journey of life. The Songs, categorized into these three topics, speak on various aspects of each category. The Creative team has aimed to partner the listening experience of the concert with the visual experience. Come listen and feel the experience of Reality, Race, and Religion.
This fall, SNO "returns home" to The Baltimore War Memorial, the site of its inaugural concert for the first time since 2015. SNO will perform Bruckner's Symphony No. 7, a major world premiere by composer Carolyn Chen, and a brand new arrangement of the Star-Spangled Banner dedicated to The War Memorial Commission by local veteran and composer Mark Maarder.

Symphony Number One closes its inaugural season with John Adams's Son of Chamber Symphony. Adams puts a new spin on some of his earlier music in this rambunctious, high-octane work for chamber orchestra.
Also on the program is a World Premiere by our Call for Score winner Andrew Posner and our Honorable Mention work, Nick Omiccioli's [fuse]. We hope you enjoy Symphony Number One's final concert of the season!
